The Huffington Post informs us that Alfred Hitchcock recorded the first known “That’s What She Said” joke during a sound test for the 1929 film Blackmail. It is actually an “As the girl said to the soldier” joke, which I think deserves to be brought back.

Even without the TWSS, it is a wonderfully creepy little clip. Also, how about that young Hitch?
